Pianists Michael Gu and Rachelle McCabe will perform a duet version of Camille Saint Saens’s Carnival of the Animals, a “grand zoological fantasy.” Cellist Jason Han, a seventh grader from Corvallis, will perform the beautiful cello solo, “The Swan.” Each of the thirteen short pieces depicting animal creatures will be introduced with witty poems by Jack Prelutsky, America’s first Children’s Poet Laureate.
