The award-winning Lumos Winery is the setting for an enchanted evening of classical piano music. Watch the sun set over Mary’s Peak as pianist Alexander Tutunov performs on a grand piano—outdoors! Seating is in a large, open field, so bring your own blanket or chairs and picnic. To accompany our midsummer revelry, exquisite Lumos wines will be available for purchase. Gates will open at 6PM and the program will begin around 6:30PM.
Our guest artist, Alexander Tutunov, is widely recognized as one of the most outstanding virtuosos of the former Soviet Union. Dr. Tutunov maintains a busy performing schedule in Europe, China, Mexico, and the United States as a recitalist and a soloist with orchestra. He is often featured on radio and television. He was once asked in February of 1997 to step in for Van Cliburn to play Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 on ten days’ notice. Dr. Tutunov lives in Ashland, Oregon, where he is Professor of Piano and Artist in Residence at Southern Oregon University.
