Pianist Gilles Vonsattel

Called a “wanderer between worlds” by the Lucerne Festival, Swiss-born American pianist Gilles Vonsattel is an artist of extraordinary versatility and originality.

An accomplished soloist, Vonsattel has performed with orchestras around the world and in recitals. He is also a dedicated chamber musician and has been an artist member of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center since 2012. He has been heard frequently on NPR’s Performance Today, Radio France Musique, CBC, ARD, and the BBC.

Vonsattel has B.A. in political science and economics from Columbia University and an M.M. from The Juilliard School, where he worked with Jerome Lowenthal. He is now Assistant Professor of Piano at University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Gilles Vonsattel is a Steinway Artist.
